Born in Ecuador and raised in Queens, NY, Mauricio's childhood was immersed in the city's cultural tapestry that continues to influence him. He first picked up a camera in high school, and ever since, his eye has been drawn to life set in the backdrop of an urban landscape. ​

Over a decade in a career in advertising working alongside seasoned creatives has lent inspiration for his work. Much of his creativity has come to life with brands such as UNICEF, Estee Lauder, Ford Automotive, and more. ​
